This specification covers requirements for burlap made from jute or kenaf and cotton mats for use in curing concrete.
Jute is defined as the bast fiber obtained from various species of Corchorus. Kenaf is defined as the bast fiber obtained from Hibiscus Cannabinus. Cotton is a vegetable fiber harvested from the cotton plant. The cotton plant belongs to the genus Gossypium of the family Malvaceae.
